Pictures and videos of an extremely adorable dog in Vietnam are making the rounds online. Whether he is sitting still or running around, the dog named Dui is able to earn the admiration of many people not just in Vietnam but all over the globe.
There is, however, one other reason why Dui has become an internet sensation. Despite being extremely cute, not a lot of people are convinced that Dui is a dog. Many people pointed out that while Dui does look like a dog, his body resembles a cat more than a canine.
Possible origin
A lot of speculations went around as to what Dui really is. Some say he is a dog, others claim he is a cat, while some say he is more of a raccoon or an otter. For those who live in Vietnam, Dui could probably be a mix of a H’mong dog, which is a breed that originates from Nothern Vietnam, and another breed of dog.
According to his owners, Dui, which means Bamboo Rat in English, has become so famous that only five days after they created his fan page, it already got over 40 thousand likes. Dui’s owners, Hai Anh and Tuan, said that they bought him when they were at a mountain province. They also speculate that Dui is a mix of a native dog breed and a short-legged dingo they call “Dingo.”
Million-dollar question
It may be uncertain what kind of dog Dui is, but I am certain that not a lot of people care. Sure, they want to know the answer, but I am sure they will love him just as much once they find out. Because if there is one thing everyone can be certain of, it’s that this is the cutest little furball anyone can ever see.
