Dog That Walks On Two Legs Serves As Our Reminder That We Can Always Overcome Obstacles If We Don’t Give Up

Dog That Walks On Two Legs Serves As Our Reminder That We Can Always Overcome Obstacles If We Don’t Give Up

Bridget Kimpton November 6, 2022

Deuce was a stray dog who was fortunately rescued from his life on the streets. He was lying in a ditch with both of his left legs terribly injured and damaged when he was rescued.

A woman named Jean Gibowski operates a dog rescue organization called Camp Jean Dog Rescue. She was also the one who helped Deuce get off the streets.

When Jean first saw Deuce, she was certain that euthanasia was the best option for him. However, when Jean brought Deuce home, she noticed that he was not using both of his left legs when he was walking. Both of these legs were wounded.

After observing the dog, Jean finally saw some hope for Deuce, and she realized that euthanasia may not be the best option. She quickly rushed him to the veterinarian. The veterinarian amputated both of Deuce’s wounded legs on his left side.

Deuce stunned everyone, including Jean, after his operation. In less than 24 hours, he showed everyone that he can still function normally despite missing two limbs. The dog also showed everyone that nothing is impossible. Two of Deuce’s legs may be gone, yet he runs like any other dog, so if you don’t really look closely enough, you just might not notice.

Jean recorded some footage of Deuce walking normally like any other dog. When she uploaded videos and photographs of Deuce on the internet, they went viral almost immediately. Jean got numerous letters about how Deuce’s perseverance inspired them not to give up.

Because of the severity of Deuce’s injuries, many thought that it was impossible to save his life. Nevertheless, Deuce’s resolve and will to live made Jean realize that he would not give up so easily. Despite his injuries, Deuce still had a strong desire to live. The dog thrived well after his surgery and now serves as an inspiration to those who see him and have learned about his story.
