A lady from Humboldt County, California has a remarkable story. The story revolved around a small dog that she found all alone inside an automobile and he was waiting for his owner’s return. Even though the dog’s story had a joyful conclusion, the initial circumstances were heartbreaking.
The story began when the woman spotted an abandoned automobile on the side of the road. She approached the vehicle to see what was going on. She was shocked to discover that a dog was inside. She then promptly contacted the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office to tell them about the animal.
The lady awaited the arrival of the authorities by the side of the vehicle. When the authorities arrived, the terrified dog was finally set free. They also began researching about the car and the dog’s owners and what they discovered was heartbreaking.
Apparently, the dog’s owner committed suicide. He left his residence with his dog. He then parked the vehicle where the lady found it and left the dog inside. He then proceeded to commit suicide.
The investigators contacted the man’s relatives and learned that the dog’s name is Banks and that he is already 15 years old. They were unable to take in Banks and requested the authorities to find him a decent home. The dog was subsequently brought to the animal shelter in Humboldt County while waiting for a home that would take him in.
One of the shelter employees recalled that they had an approved adopter seeking for an older dog. They contacted her, told her about Banks, and invited her to come over to meet the animal.
Fortunately, the two got along immediately. The new owner was upset by the dog’s history, but she was eager to give Banks a decent life especially that he is now in his senior years.
