Ian Orser is a plumber who resides in Grand Forks, British Columbia with his family. Megan, his teen daughter, is the owner of three dogs. Red, a mixed-breed dog, is one of them. She cherished her dogs and took them with her nearly everywhere she went.
One day, Megan and her three dogs accompanied Ian to his most recent job site. The father and daughter finished their work inside the house and left the three dogs outside. Then, though, the unthinkable occurred.
When Ian and Megan were working diligently inside, they suddenly heard loud, frenzied barking. First, they believed that the dogs were fighting, so Ian took his daughter outside to break up the battle. After a few seconds, Megan returned home and began to scream.
She stated that Red was being attacked by a cougar outdoors. When they emerged from hiding, they observed the wild animal dragging the unfortunate dog. Ian raced up to the cougar and immediately began kicking its head. The only time he stopped was when the enormous cat dumped their dog.
But the threat was not eliminated. The cougar did not flee. The beast stood there and observed the valiant father.
Ian then obtained a stick in an effort to make himself appear intimidatingly large. He also began to wave the enormous piece of wood and pounded the ground.
Fortunately, the cougar lost interest and wandered away gently. The pumped-up father was happy that he would not have to battle the dangerous animal. Once the predator was no longer there, Ian and Meghan rushed Red to the veterinarian.
The unfortunate dog required twenty stitches to repair her neck, chest, back, and leg bite wounds. The veterinarian also prescribed antibiotics and analgesics. She will require a lengthy period of recuperation, but they are hopeful she will recover well. The most crucial factor is that Red is still alive.
