A Dog Lover’s Compassion Helped This Rescue Dog Recover From Past Trauma

A Dog Lover’s Compassion Helped This Rescue Dog Recover From Past Trauma

Bridget Kimpton March 5, 2023

Dog lover Darvish volunteered to foster one of a local shelter’s most traumatized dogs. He brought it home and let it roam around his house. The dog eventually curled up in the corner of the room that it found comfortable.

Darvish spent time feeding and petting the dog until it gradually warmed up to him. Soon the two became close friends, and now he’s considering adopting the dog. Some people abandon their pets when they lose interest in them as they grow up, while others move on to a new pet.

People also end up abandoning their dogs because of financial issues or family move-outs. However, no matter the reason, it’s shocking to hear about the cruelty these animals often face because of their owners’ thoughtless actions. Abandoned dogs often live miserable lives.

They usually don’t get to eat, drink, or even be outside for very long. It is so sad that sometimes people even keep the dogs in tiny cages or tied to poles all day and night just to torture them. Dogs require love, care, and attention at all stages of life, not just when they are puppies.

There are hundreds of animals in shelters that need homes. People who adopt one of these animals will not only provide them with good care but also save their lives. Adopting a dog is also the noblest thing anyone can do, but when you decide to adopt a dog, you definitely should be aware that it’s a lifetime commitment.

So, think carefully before making such a decision. Caring for a dog is a great deal of work. The best way to keep a dog healthy is to give the dog food to eat, water to drink, and a place where it can rest, like a house or yard.

Taking care of a dog is no easy task, but it’s worth the effort when you get the love they will give in return.
