In the Philippines, a dog-lover named Christian Bondoc posted photos of his date on Valentine’s Day. He spent the whole day with someone special, and he described it to be the perfect date.
Bondoc’s date was a beautiful dog named Sheena, who happened to be his favorite dog in a shelter that he regularly visits. According to Bondoc, Sheena had a sad past. She used to live on the streets, deprived of love and care. Sheena also had a terrible case of mange, to the point that she no longer has any hair left on her body.
Thankfully, the Animal Kingdom Foundation, a group dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals, rescued Sheena. They helped treat her condition, and now she has transformed into a beautiful creature. Sheena also has a sweet and loveable personality which is why people like her.
Sadly, Sheena was diagnosed with heart enlargement last 2021 and is on a lifetime medication to address her illness. But, she is generally well and playful, just like her usual self. According to Bondoc, it is unfortunate that dogs don’t live long. That is why he promised to always make Sheena happy for the rest of her life.
The perfect date
On Valentine’s Day, Bondoc went to the shelter to spend time with Sheena. He brought her a basket of supplies and dog treats instead of a bouquet. His only goal was to make her feel extra special and loved.
To start their day, Bondoc gave Sheena a good bath. Afterward, they spent some time inside a tent. They also tried to go up the treehouse, but it was too high for them, so they just took a photo beside it.
The pair also bonded beside a bonfire. And of course, when night came, they shared a romantic dinner with Sheena’s favorite food, chicken. Indeed, it was a happy day for Sheena and a fulfilling day for Bondoc.
Most people who saw Bondoc’s post commended him for his heartwarming gesture. On the other hand, Bondoc encouraged everyone to visit the Animal Kingdom Foundation and spend some time with the shelter’s loving and loyal creatures.
