A dog’s loyalty can never be questioned. Apparently, this loyalty isn’t exclusive to human beings, but to fellow dogs as well. This one pup from Cape Town, South Africa proved how much his pup-friend meant to him when he cleverly led rescuers to save them both.
A rescue organization got a call about an abandoned dog on a nearby pier who needed saving. Upon their arrival, rescue workers were saddened to see the terrible state the dog was in. Aside from the medical conditions the pup was obviously suffering from, the pup didn’t have a home and needed a lot of love and support. But this wasn’t the only dog that needed saving that day.
The organization soon got another call about a pup in the same location. This pup was hungry and was already shivering so much from the cold that rescuers needed to take her immediately. But curiously, the pooch didn’t want to leave and seemed to have something else in mind. He was trying to communicate to his rescuers that his friend needed saving too.
With perseverance and determination, the pup was able to guide the rescuers where he wanted them to be. They discovered another pup hiding behind a car who was equally hungry and scared as his friend.
The rescue group knew that they had to make room for his friend because a storm was approaching. Leaving them there wouldn’t ensure their safety, so they scooped up the pups, determined to find them a forever home.
Fortunately, the first pup rescued near the pier found a home in no time. But for the two dogs who were later rescued initially had a little trouble. The organization couldn’t afford their medical bills to help them recover. Thankfully, a good samaritan learned about their story and adopted them both.
Now named Grace-Kelly and Hope, the pups live a comfortable life all because they decided to be loyal to each other.
