When a dog’s fighting spirit is combined with the helping hands of kind people around him, nothing is impossible. Nancy grew up being abused. She grew up in a terrible environment where she was hurt by the people that she trusts the most.
Someone intentionally broke her back. And her story broke the hearts of people around her. Because of her situation, she is unable to stand or move.
This sweet dog needed a miracle to be able to stand again on his own again. When the vets checked her, they could do surgery to help but there was very little chance for her to move like a regular dog. Nancy was then put to surgery and the staff would comfort her during her recovery period.
When they started to let her stand with their assistance, it was hard especially at first. Every move, every step was a struggle for Nancy. She needed more therapy before any progress can even be expected.
She was put on water therapy so she can strengthen her muscles. At this point, Nancy was practically paralyzed. The people who were assisting her were very patient with her which made her fighting spirit want to push through more.
She was put on the treadmill so she can practice her walk and they even massage her legs and muscles. She was adequately taken care of. Nancy was also provided with a wheelchair since she loves!
She is able to run and play with the other dogs with it. She moves faster with it too. But the best part of Nancy’s story is how she conquered her past and made something impossible, possible.
Through hard work and the people’s help, she was able to walk again! She may struggle a little when she stands, but the important part is she is able to. She can stand, walk and run on her own. Nancy is a walking miracle.
