Everyone considers dogs as human’s best friend. It’s as if dogs and humans are inseparable, destined to be together wherever they go.
However, a particular video shows to us that birds can also become a dog’s best friend. It’s only a matter of persuasion and persistence before a new friendship forms.

In this adorable video, a Maltese puppy and a parrot eye each other on a carpeted floor. While it looks like the pup and the parrot’s holding a meeting, the puppy starts running around the bird, perhaps convincing the bird to play with it.
But, it seems the parrot’s confused with the pooch’s antics as it only stares at the dog. Nonetheless, the pooch did not waver, even if the parrot refuses to acknowledge its presence.
This cycle carried on for a few rounds, with the pup continually chasing the bird around. The Maltese even barked at the parrot to emphasize his point. But, it seems the parrot’s pretty much bent on ignoring the dog.
Come on! Just try it, okay?
Despite the continuous efforts of the pooch, the parrot continues to ignore him. The bird looks the other way, refusing to acknowledge the pup’s relentless persuasions.
But, the bird’s about to change its mind as the pup goes down to its level and starts communicating more gently. The bird and the dog stare at each other, deciphering what one wants to say.
After the brief pep talk, the pooch finally convinced the parrot to play with him. Though the bird still isn’t as actively playing as the pooch wants him to be, the pair’s off to a good start. The parrot now responds to the dogs cajoles as it makes several attempts to poke at him.
