With the hot rays of the sun shining down on our planet, it’s not unusual for animals to find ways to cool themselves off. Drinking cold drinks, slurping ice-cold food, or spending a day on the beach are some common ways to beat the heat.
However, for a particularly witty Newfoundland, he doesn’t need much water to achieve the goal. All he needs to do is chug down a bucketful of ice cubes to keep himself nice and fresh.

In this short video, an adorable Newfoundland puppy named Leroy spends some quality time on their porch. However, it looks like the pooch’s not merely enjoying the sunny day as a red bucket stands near him.
Before anyone could decipher what the pooch’s doing, Leroy munches on something inside his mouth. Though one cannot see what Leroy’s eating, one can guess that it’s something wet and refreshing to the palate.
At some point, the pooch even shows off how it’s enjoying its food. The pooch continues chewing on its delectable snack until it decides to find more of it.
Ooh! I love ice cubes!
Without further ado, Leroy turns his attention to the bucket and dips his head in it. For a good few seconds, Leroy’s head remains inside the bucket, careful to chug everything inside it.
Soon after, Leroy brings his head up and stares at a distance, but not without chewing on some ice cubes. By the looks of it, the pooch makes use of these ice cubes to keep himself fresh for the day.
As the video continues, Leroy fishes for more ice cubes in the red bucket. The pooch carries on with this act until he consumes the last batch inside the container.
