The rescue team from Hope For Paws got a call about a small homeless Pitbull. Julie Maigret has spent weeks to gain Eden’s trust but to no avail. Eden was not so trusting when it comes to humans.
Eden would always run away when Julie tries to approach her. When the team arrived, it was raining, and Eden was taking shelter in a garage. He was barking like crazy when the team arrived which showed anxiety and fear.
The team secured the garage with a soccer net so she will be enclosed there. When they were able to put her on a leash, they let her be. They even made Eden see Julie’s face in the hopes of calming her down.
The team kept talking to Eden to reassure her that she’s safe. The team wanted to try to pet her, so they used a stick with a cloth to try and do that. Eventually, she allowed her to pet them and even allowed them to put the lucky leash on her.
They lured her into the crate, and when Eden was inside, that’s when she calmed down and relaxed. They were finally able to bring her to the shelter to have her checked, treated and fed. In the shelter, she showed her gratitude towards Julie for saving her.
She knows that all they want is for her to be safe and she is forever grateful. She even showed everyone how sweet of a dog she really is. If she were not rescued, she would have been left in the cold, still homeless and hungry.
