The Bice family in Texas thanks their dog for saving their life. Their house had completely burned down, and they would have died that terrible night if Tank hadn’t warned them. They were all then able to make it out of the house without anyone getting hurt.
Their woes, however, did not end there. Still terrified and perplexed, the huge Boxer bolted and went missing for two months. Thankfully, the dog was spotted by a caring dog lover who promptly returned him when she learned who his owner was.
Shae and her husband Calvin had already fallen asleep when their dogs’ frenzied barking awoke them. Tank and their other dog were making strange noises, and they sensed something wasn’t right.
When the couple looked around, they noticed that smoke was already entering their room. They leaped from their bed and gathered their children and pets. They were finally able to phone 911 after they were safely outdoors.
Firefighters arrived quite quickly and were able to extinguish the fire before the entire house was destroyed. The house, however, had sustained major damage and the framework had been severely compromised.
As a result, the Bice family was unable to remain in their home and was forced to temporarily relocate to a camper.
Because their new living quarters were too cramped for the family, they were forced to keep the two dogs outside. Tank, who was still terrified and perplexed, managed to break free and flee unnoticed.
When the family discovered that their brave hero had gone missing, they were distraught. They looked for the dog, as do most responsible dog owners, and tried everything they could to find him. They used social media platforms to spread the word, distributed flyers and contacted all of the local shelters. However, no one seemed to have seen their dog.
Shae got a call from Kristi Schiller two months after Tank went missing. She is the creator of K9s4Cops, a non-profit rescue group, and she is the one who found Tank. For the past two months, Kristi has been his caregiver.
When the compassionate lady spotted the flier, she immediately contacted the family. When Shae received the news, she was pleased. She was overjoyed that her dog had been well cared after.
Tank has reunited with his family, and everyone was relieved to see him again.
