Dogs love to hang around with their human companions. For our canine friends, a few minutes of separation feels like hours or even years of not seeing their favorite humans.
As such, it’s not unusual for a Newfoundland to sulk over his Mom’s “long” disappearance.
Where did you go, Mom?
The short video starts with Samson the Newfoundland sitting on their front porch. While it looks like the pooch’s merely looking at his surroundings, a slight movement catches his attention.
Samson then stared at the object for a few seconds, refusing to let it disappear from his line of sight. A few tense seconds passed before a woman’s voice broke the awkward silence.
It turns out, Samson’s fur mom went out of their house, leaving the pooch behind. Though Mom only intended to go out for a few minutes, something must’ve held her up, ultimately stretching the time she’s away.
I’m sorry, Samson. Will you forgive me?
Despite Mom’s sincere apologies, the pooch remains glued to the spot, indignantly staring back at her as if he didn’t hear a word she’s saying.
Mom continues explaining her side to Samson, telling the pooch how she knows he’s disappointed and hurt that she left him. As if confirming what Mom said, Samson continues looking at her with a pained expression.
However, when Mom finally said she’s sorry and that she regrets what she’s done, the pooch’s demeanor shifted. Samson then lets out a whine as he walks towards Mom’s direction, allowing Mom to indulge him in playful pats and praises.
While Samson’s actions look quite exaggerated, the video proves to us how dogs possess the softest of hearts. They can’t stay angry at you for a long time, as long as you genuinely regret what you’ve done.
