Dogs are resilient creatures that can still be happy even if they are sick or hungry. It’s probably because of their cheerful demeanor. It’s also why dogs tend to recover quite quickly following an injury or sickness.
Artie, a homeless dog, was discovered in appalling condition. He was sick and emaciated, and parts of his body lacked fur. Thankfully, a compassionate truck driver found Artie wandering the streets. He didn’t want to leave until Artie was rescued. The truck driver shared Artie’s photo on social media, which was seen by a volunteer from an animal rescue organization called Rescue One.
Rescue One volunteers immediately picked up Artie and took him back to their facility. He was fostered by a woman named Teri who promised to take care of him until he was ready to find a forever home. Teri stated that despite Artie’s frail condition, he was still happy when someone plays with him.
Artie had sore skin, which was definitely painful and uncomfortable. Despite all that he’s going through, Artie was still capable of happiness. Teri stated that she never had any problems with Artie. He was friendly and welcomed anyone who wanted to meet him.
Teri thought that it would take a long time for Artie to heal. However, after only having him for two weeks, she started seeing improvements. His skin condition improved and his fur also started growing in spots where there were none.
After four more weeks in Teri’s care, Artie looked like a completely different dog. The once fragile dog who looked so sick transformed into a handsome and healthy dog. It’s all thanks to Teri for taking good care of him. However, she always credits Artie for his cheerful and positive attitude, which helped him heal so fast.
