It’s always heartbreaking whenever we see abandoned dogs wandering the streets, trying to survive. Although dogs are resilient animals, they still need people to take care of them.
A dog named Missy was found and rescued by a woman named Lou Sisk. Missy was severely emaciated and was already on the brink of death when Lou found her. She was so frail that she found it hard to even move.
Although Lou was able to rush Missy to the vet, all they heard was bad news. Missy would have surely died if she was left in the garbage pile any longer but she’s also suffering countless health issues. Missy had scabies and a really bad infection in her uterus.
The infection was so bad that antibiotics alone can no longer cure her. Missy needed surgery to have the infected uterus removed. She also needed months to recover after the surgery. Thankfully, she was finally in the hands of good people who made sure that she got everything she needed to recover.
Missy’s recovery was a slow process but she started putting on weight and grew stronger. After a few months, she was finally ready to be adopted. Missy’s vibrant personality and positive attitude helped a lot with her recovery but it’s also thanks to the wonderful people who encouraged her and showed her love that gave her hope.
After Missy fully recovered, she was finally ready to find a forever home. Thankfully, she didn’t have to wait long. Missy’s loving personality melted the hearts of everyone who saw her story and a loving family ended up adopting her. Thanks to her rescuer and the wonderful people at the vet clinic, she got her second chance to live happily.
Comparing Missy now to when she was rescued, she looked completely different. Her transformation is inspirational and proves that love can truly help broken animals heal. Here’s a video featuring Missy’s heartwarming story.
