“Curiosity killed the cat” is how a popular proverb goes. Curiosity, on the other hand, can get dogs into trouble.
In California, one puppy was trapped in a tight place – literally! This occurred after his head became stuck in a fence.
Fortunately, compassionate rescuers came to the pup’s aid. However, saving the dog proved to be difficult – however, the rescuers had a reliable life-saving gear on hand.
Take a peek at the story of this fascinating dog.
A dog in distress was reported to the Kern County Fire Department in California. When first responders went to the reported location, they discovered the dog’s head jammed in one of the chain-link fence’s diamond-shaped openings.
The firefighters didn’t waste any time in getting to work. To free the trapped puppy, they employed the Jaws of Life, a piece of large hydraulic equipment capable of cutting through steel.
A video of the rescue showed one firefighter painstakingly cutting open the metal that held the dog’s head with the help of the Jaws of Life. Meanwhile, another firefighter carefully held the puppy.
The rescuer was eventually able to clear enough space for the dog to be taken out and set free. Once the puppy was free, the rescuer who was holding it gave it a quick but gentle ruffle around the neck to ensure that it was not injured.
The pup was unhurt, according to a post on the Kern County Fire Department’s official Facebook page.
The local community responded positively to the pup’s story after it was publicized on the Kern County Fire Department’s official Facebook page. The post has over 500 likes and some comments and shares as of this writing.
The firefighters who rescued the puppy received a lot of praise in the comments. One woman praised the rescuers, describing them as great heroes. Another reviewer was astounded by the dog’s calm demeanor in the face of the cutting machine’s noise.
