As soon as she could bark, tiny Lo, a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, helped mom keep intruders at bay. Lo’s an expert in keeping the lawn free of noisy guinea hens.
She doesn’t mind chasing them away and keeping them in line when their clucking gets a tad louder than usual.
Lo’s so dedicated to her job that her brothers couldn’t help but admire her for her skills. They all pitched in to chase the noisy hens away, learning a trick or two from their baby sister.
The adult hens scattered when they heard the barking puppies, their figures blurry from the speed. It’s safe to think they didn’t want to risk a feather or two to these hooligans.
While Lo’s siblings chased the adult hens away and finished her work, the pup heard noises again, but this time, they sounded smaller.
She put her tracking skills to good use, sniffing their trail out, but they were hard to find. That’s because a group of guinea chicks could blend well in the grasses.
Lo’s superior tracking skills led her to the chicks, but she couldn’t see them, nor reach them. They hid well in the grass and moved too fast for the pup.
Lo passed by a chick or two, but she couldn’t come close enough to give them a piece of her mind. The little rascals were far too challenging to handle than their adult counterparts!
By the time Lo reached one, she was almost too tired from all that running. The guinea chick felt the same, so now it’s a staredown battle between a furry pet and a feathered one.
We think both these pets didn’t want to lose, but being practically young ones, the call of rest soon beckoned.
We don’t know if this snooze fest was part of the battle, but it’s safe to say they reached some sort of a truce.
