Veterinarians are among the special people in the world that truly deserve our respect because of the dedication they have to make this world a better place for animal-kind. One of the kindhearted veterinarians that caught everyone’s eye is Dr. Andy Mathis who works at an animal shelter in Georgia. When a video of him eating breakfast beside a rescue pup went viral, everyone felt inspired because of how much kindness and sympathy he expressed.
You see, the dog in the now-viral video was rescued from a terrible life in the streets. She was found by rescuers beside a dirt road where she lived off of the scraps she could find. Without anyone to look after her, she suffered from malnutrition and was but skin and bones.
But when she was rescued, her life was destined to change for the better. However, her trauma prevented her from easing up to humans immediately. The poor pup was still scared of everything around her and, as a result, couldn’t eat properly out of her food bowl.
Out of pity for the pup, Dr. Andy felt compelled to eat breakfast beside the struggling pup to help her overcome what she was going through. By showing her that she was now going to be constantly looked after, the kind-hearted veterinarian was determined to get her back on her paws to start living the life she’s deserved.
With support readily available from those around her, there is no doubt that the rescue pup will find herself living her best dog days in the near future. So far, the pup has been eating regularly thanks to the support of veterinarians like Dr. Andy. Soon enough, we might see the rescue pup finding a forever home because of the dedication of these amazing vets.
