Tri-Pod Dog That Couldn’t Walk Receives Medical Help, And She’s Now Unstoppable

Tri-Pod Dog That Couldn’t Walk Receives Medical Help, And She’s Now Unstoppable

Bridget Kimpton July 14, 2020

Canela is a tri-pod dog. But unlike other pups, she’s missing her right front leg, and her left wrist was unstable. No matter how hard she tried, it was just almost impossible for her to move around.

Because of her condition, Canela’s family renounced her to a rural pound. No one knows how, but eventually, she ended up on the streets. Thankfully, Let’s Adopt International heard about her. In an instant, the organization agreed to help the dog.

Besides her physical disability, Canela is in perfectly good health. She’s friendly, loving, and gentle. But most importantly, she’s brave.

The vets evaluated Canela’s condition to see how they could help the dog. While they can’t do anything about her missing leg, surgery could fix her wrist. That way, she’d be able to support her body so she can move around freely.

Canela underwent complex surgery that lasted for hours. Fortunately, it was a success. She needed more time to recover, but once her wounds healed, she became unstoppable.

The sweet dog stayed at the hospital for a few more days just to make sure. Later on, Viktor brought her to the White House, one of the two residential properties owned by Let’s Adopt International. Instead of a typical shelter, this is where the team houses their rescue animals.

The moment Canela stepped foot at the White House, she began exploring. She sniffed every corner of the house and made herself at home. She said hi to all the other dogs at the house and made friends with everyone.

Canela is a special-needs dog, and she will require a unique family that’s willing and able to provide her needs. While it may take a long time, her rescue friends promised to be her family and give her nothing but the best. Until then, Canela will spend her days loved and cherished by the people around her.
