Our pets can be very possessive. They would definitely do whatever it takes to keep their favorite places safe and clear of invaders.
However, it is quite important to keep in mind that not all dogs are vicious. If properly trained, some dogs would be able to control their anger. Even if the intruder had entered their area, they would know how to properly behave.
Each dog has their own preferred spots in the house. It may be their own bed, carpet, sofa, or even the master bedroom. And the beautiful Labrador in this video is an excellent illustration of our point.
As the short footage begins, a golden retriever was seen lazily standing in front of his owner. The couch is usually the dog’s preferred spot but, on that day, the dog appeared to be rather exhausted and likely wanted a much-needed nap.
He continued to watch its human that was resting on his favorite couch.
Clearly, he was not satisfied with the arrangement. Even though he has made it quite clear that the couch is his, the dog was likely puzzled why his owner was there. He attempted to calm himself before proceeding with a more courteous approach.
The dog lightly tapped his owner’s legs with his paw. This was perhaps his way of gently nudging his owner awake and telling him to move. If this intelligent dog could speak, he would likely tell his owner that he wasn’t where he was supposed to be and that he should go to some other place than that couch.
The man then woke up to see his dog staring at him with wide eyes and a vigorously wagging tail. The man immediately understood his pet and stood up to allow the dog to assume his rightful position.
The dog quickly curled up on his favorite couch and drifted off to sleep.
