An over four-minute-long YouTube video that features a duck and a German Shepherd puppy is making rounds on the internet. The video, which was posted only on August 9, 2020, already has over 1.5 million views as of press time.
In the video, the puppy named Rocky can be seen trying to interact with a duck that is minding its own business in a pool. As Rocky circles the pool and tries to get close to the duck, the latter, which is obviously uncomfortable, tries to get away from the furball.
Nevertheless, Rocky continues to approach the duck. Rocky eventually steps into the pool, which clearly caused distress to the poor bird. After crying a couple of times, the bird finally started approaching the dog.
Under a watchful eye
Throughout the entire thing, humans are carefully observing both dog and duck to make sure that none of them would get hurt. When Rocky got too close to the duck, one human immediately called both animals’ attention and tried to separate them without stressing them out.
When Rocky tried to nibble on the duck’s beak, a human was also quick to reprimand the dog and make it stop. By the middle of the video, the duck is already seemingly unaffected by Rocky’s presence. Even if Rocky still tries to approach it, the bird no longer budges. But, when Rocky tries to approach it yet again, the duck is quick to make sure the dog doesn’t bite its head.
A happy and stress-free ending
By the end of the video, the pool is already filled with water. While the duck enjoys swimming in it, Rocky is seen trying to enter it, but quickly withdraws when he learns how deep the water is. Because of this, Rocky no longer tries to bother the duck, which is already having the time of its life in its newly-filled swimming pool. To see the adorable interaction, watch the video below:
