Cats and dogs are not the kind of couple that you would expect. One would even expect these two creatures to fight nonstop. Alvin and Baron are different.
Elliza Collins loves animals and wanted to get a dog. Unfortunately, dogs were not allowed where she lived, so she adopted a cat instead. Alvin was rescued from Humane Society, and he was not what she expected.
He is very social, much like a dog. When Baron came along, Alvin was thrilled! He finally has company.
They instantly had this connection and have been best friends ever since. Both have a lazy personality, and that might be one of the reasons why they get along. They have such a special connection that even Alvin can sense when Baron is not feeling well.
Baron was having seizures, and they were quite often and. They couldn’t figure out why and was not any under medication. After an episode, he was still feeling weak, and Alvin sensed it.
Alvin went to Baron and starting to comfort him through licking. Baron likes getting licks from Alvin too as he finds it soothing. Yes, they fight sometimes, but they always end up the same way- loving each other.
Their mom knows that their bond is special and would not get that kind of relationship if she gets another cat or dog. Their bond is unique and unreplaceable. She does not even instigate it, Alvin and Baron just gravitate toward each other.
Baron is better now. He is on medication and has not had an episode for a month. Alvin has been a big help in Baron’s healing. He has always been there when Baron needed him.
He always helped in making Baron feel relaxed. Alvin has been a great big brother and friend. These brothers have a connection that is amazing to witness.
